NICNAS surveyed several businesses to obtain additional import and/or export information on TEL and TML, which is now subject to the Rotterdam Convention. Additional businesses trading in TEL were identified using import and export data extracted for Customs classifications relevant to industrial chemicals listed in Annex III of the Convention. NICNAS contacted these additional exporters to advise them of their regulatory obligations under the Convention.


Compliance activity has generated $82,976 in new chemical notifications an additional $453,249 in NICNAS registrations and $54,693 in late penalty fee recovery.
