NICNAS liaises with three ongoing advisory groups drawn from community, industry and other government agency stakeholders to assist practicality, transparency and responsiveness in its decision- and regulations-making.
It also receives advice from three groups formed for specific projects.
Two are involved with introduction of reforms to NICNASís Existing Chemicals Program.
The first of these assists with strategies, prioritisation and coordination relating to the reforms; the second assists in development of technical options for implementing the reforms.
A third specific purpose group is assisting with advice on measures that may be taken to ensure NICNASís regulatory framework can manage any risks arising from industrial nanomaterials.
